WORTH THE SACRIFICE
GIVING ASSESSMENT
Consider your current giving to the church. Maybe you are giving very little, or nothing at all. Maybe you are a tenured tither. Regardless, it is right for us to take
inventory of how we are stewarding God’s resources that have been entrusted to us.
What is a commitment?
A commitment is an intent to give, a good-faith estimate of what you believe the Lord would have you present to Him. Your commitment may be fulfilled over a three-year period. Commitments are significant to this campaign, as they allow us to move forward with each succeeding phase.
GENEROSITY JOURNEY
Initial Giver
This type of giver is someone who decides to give for the first time. This is someone who decides to give something and trust God and the leaders of the church with this gift.
Intentional Giver
This type of giver begins to understand giving as a discipleship issue. Giving becomes as intentional as other necessary budget items. This giver is eager to grow in generosity, even if it may be a slow methodical process.
Sacrificial Giver
This type of giver begins to ask the question, “Am I giving in a way that causes my lifestyle to reflect the transformation Christ is making in me?” A Sacrificial Giver’s commitment to giving actually governs the rest of his/her lifestyle.
“Not Equal Giving, But Equal Sacrifice.”
To help you visualize how different levels of support contribute to our initiative, we have provided a gift chart.
God has blessed each of us in different ways, both spiritually and materially. We recognize that everyone cannot and should not give the same dollar amount. This chart shows you how consistent giving will compound into a dramatic impact.
